Dinosaur Park at Kramers!
“The planet has survived everything, in its time. It will certainly survive us.” —Michael Crichton, Jurassic Park
We've celebrated cats and dogs, so the obvious continuation of our creature revere is dinosaurs! Here are some of our favorite dinosaur digs!
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton: The classic when it comes to anything dinosaur related. And even though it's science fiction, the "science" behind this incredible story has captured generations of imaginations of what dino-life would be like.
The Monster's Bones: The Discovery of T. Rex and How It Shook Our World by David K. Randall: We have to include some nonfiction in our list, and this incredible story of the Gilded Age Bone Wars and the birth of gigantic dinosaur bones towering over visitors in some of the worlds most famous museums! This book is an incredible dive in to the history (and drama) of these great monsters' bones.
Dinopedia: A Brief Compendium of Dinosaur Lore by Darren Naish: If you love dinosaur facts but don't want to be bogged down with the entire GIANT history of a creature compendium, this small (perfect gift size) fact book is the perfect read.
Dinosaur Therapy by James Stewart and K. Roméy: This super cute comic collection is all about dinosaurs navigating the ups and downs of life.
Dinosaur Sanctuary Vol. 1 by Itaru Kinoshita: This entirely-too-cute-for-words manga is fictional like Jurassic Park in the sense science has brought dinosaurs back to life, but it's less horrifying and more "we have a zoo of dinosaurs and we're facing all the normal (capitalistic) problems a zoo faces" story. It's also loaded with dinosaur facts, so it's a well-crafted read!
